More than a little late posting this, but what the hell. My Canadian detecting season was decent, but I seriously need to find some new locations for 2017.

Detecting in England was definitely the high point for the year, man I had such a good time.

Some silver, including a Roman silver that I really was hoping for. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545249.744086.webp

Anglo Saxon brooch with "the beast" on it really got the blood pumping.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545570.862294.webp

Coppers, Roman brooches, Roman bronze coins etc.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545648.078532.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545677.003103.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545711.963860.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491546364.049944.webp

Back at home I had my best year ever for Indian cents, but the silver count was way down. Best coin was the Seated quarter.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491545820.201356.webp

Found lots of buttons, but these North West Mounted Police buttons were by far my best buttons ever. Managed to dig 19 of them, definitely hitting THAT location again!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491546005.928926.webp

WWI military hat badgeImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491546110.676169.webp

And some other bitsImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491546150.197141.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1491546181.595835.webp

Excited to get the ball rolling in 2017

Thanks for sharing JC!

The hammered silvers make my eyes hurt. I can't even look at the Saxon brooch... just too much for me.

Best of luck to you this year sir!

Yep, every year starting with a blank slate it's hard to imagine anything good will come out. Luckily it always does.

Thanks Cru, it's definitely a very prized find for me. I know there's one waiting for you somewhere in your dirt.

Haha thanks Tom. If you ever go to England, take some blood pressure pills with you because you'll need them

Your English and Canadian finds
Are excellent.
Nice job

Wow buddy, seeing all the hammered silvers in one picture made my jaw hit the floor...one of these days I'll get over there. Had my England trip canceled again for a no-notice deployment, maybe next Spring I'll try again. OUTSTANDING year in review

You had a great year, with the trip to UK as a topper! Congrats for getting a wishlist coin and wow, that Saxon Brooch is so damn killer.... :headbang:

Thanks man. Hard to believe it's been a whole year (I dug the brooch and Roman silver exactly one year ago today). It's killing me not going back this year. Sorry to hear you got cancelled, you just gotta get over there!

That looks like a great year
