My 1st Time Detecting

Took my AT Pro out of the box, went out into the yard with a kid from the neighborhood, turned it on and started sweeping. I never even read the instructions and really had no clue what I was doing, but I just had to try it before it got dark. We dug 8 holes in the yard and found 8 pieces of metal. All just fence ties and nails and a fishing sinker except for this wing.

We had a ball for our 1st time and even though we didn't find anything great, I can see how this can be very addictive.

Now I'm off to read the book that came with it.

Good luck with all your hunts, I hope you have lots of fun.

Glad you're having fun. If you can, take time to look up how to's on YouTube. You can really learn a lot from others there. I'd suggest also wat hung some guys that post a lot of digs like a young guy named nuggetnoggin and beau ouimette. Both use the ATP and will show you the potential that funky weedwhacker can do.

Get your facts first, then distort them as you please-Mark Twain

Your 2st time. :)

It is the most addictive but very rewarding... For me the time spent with the family is priceless... Great find!!!

Watch diggers if you really want to see what the ATP can do. I know I've found some interesting things with it.

I really don't like the show... Just my personal opinion but it looks like a big circus to me... Sorry

Practice practice practice...

Enjoy. you'll learn a lot of history, and find some really cool things yes can be additive.

Your finds will only multiply!...The ATPro has been very good to me since i got it

Watch diggers if you don't want to learn anything. You'll learn it with time.

A lot of hostility. What i meant was that you can pick tips on how different items might sound in the ground. Thats not in the instructions. Jeesh . Didn't mean watch it as an instructional tool.

Have fun, joined an awesome hobby. I myself always have trouble leaving because that next target you dig could be a good one. A 5 minute walk back to the car turns into a 30-45 minute trek trying to find some gems :)

sweet find and welcome to treasurenet!

My first time out was on wed night and I found a measuring spoon and a piece of siding tin.. love it so far the mosquito's drove me indoors before I could really get going.. but I plan on getting out there more and more with fall.. great looking wing

I can relate to those damn mosquitos driving me nuts. Bug spray doesnt work 100%, should just buy one of those suits they use for handling bees and detect in that >=)

diggers? ...is that the show with the ex pro wrestler? .. i sat through half an episode of that, as soon as the guy said BOOM BABY!! i turned the channel. .... read your book cover to cover.... and when your done?.... read it again.

I noticed somebody corrected your grammar. I agree, it should not be "My 2st time detecting". The correct statement would be "I went detecting for the tooth time today"! Have a ball with your machine!
