Nice collection.

I love the early hunts buttons.

The first one is 1 half of a cuff-link. Normal loop on the back which then had a chain to a identical one.

Yes it is a cuff link, I found one just like that. How old do you think it is?

Mine was from a site that was probably settled about 1785 or 86 and didn't last too long, but at least to 1800 as the house was shown on a map from that year. Everything was early so maybe a few years after 1800 but not many. If you check my top ten post I dug the Connecticut and the Gilty button the same day. It was likely the officer who wore the cufflink.
