None of these units served in North America, as far as I know. Anyone else have military buttons found on this side that you really wouldn't expect to dig? (We had a lot of early settlers from Britain/Scotland/Ireland which explains mine)

I've had some of these for many years but still know very little about them. The Ross Guards I find the most interesting.

Nice ones IP, I have two British ones that even the Brits don't know from whence they came. Also a third British Naval, that I am not sure its relationship with this country and being found in South Jersey.

I have a few more, two I can think of off the top of my head but very poor condition.

I do remember your two!

With my curiosity peeked I decided to take another shot at ID'ing the Ross Guards, and if I'm right it's a neat surprise. Given the lack of hits for any Ross Guards type militia I believe this might have been from the small unit that had Guard over the Castle. Talk about a long way from home! (assuming I'm correct)

you sure know how to make someone jealous !!

Well don't get too jealous.. I found out there are several places called Ross, so likely from a small town and not the castle. It would have been neat though.
