My best ring yet

I found this vintage ring at what I think was an old park. It is Sterling and as for the stone diamond?
There is no hole at the bottom of the setting so it looks cloudy. A friend thought maybe a mine cut diamond in a custom setting. Anyway HH and Happy Hollidays!!!
