My buddy's first Civil War find!

This was his second trip out detecting,so I took him to a site that is usually pretty good for some CW lead. Anyways, it wasn't long before he called me over, and said " I think I just found my first Civil War bullet" Turns out he found a beat up Williams cleaner bullet! Needless to say, he was happier than a hog in poop! Not to shabby for his first CW find. He also found a token of some sort that had been shot. I think he's pretty much hooked now! The worst part is, he skunked me! All I took home was some shotgun shell brass and what appears to be a piece from a clock. Here's some pics of my buddy's finds and him staring in disbelief at what he had just found. I threw in a pic of my take as well.

Isn't that always the case, you take the new hole digger out and what happens, you don't find "Nothing" and he/she finds everything. Congratulations to your new hole digging buddy.

That's awesome Congratulations. Hope its the first of many more CW finds. Pretty cool feeling you get when you realize you are the first person to hold something last held by a soldier over 150 years ago.
