Hit an old home site that was relatively clean compared to most I've been to.. after 1.5 hours & about 30-35 trash digs later I dug a 1833 Bust Dime at 6-7", it's not in the greatest condition but I've never found one before so I love it!

Man That's An Awesome Dime! Way To Go Joe! :icon_thumright:

Bust dimes are wonderful in any condition.

Very cool! Congrats on that great find!

Great find. Got my first in January after 20 years without a Bust Dime. Mine was worn smooth. At least yours has some detail to show. Well done!

It maybe a little beat up but still a great start to the Bust collection, now you have a target to beat yourself:thumbsup:

I'm still trying to work on one of those myself, great find!

Congrats! Nice dime!

Isn't life grand??? Very nice find, and much luck in the future.

If that dime could only talk.....the stories it would tell about it's hard life!

even with the nicks and scratches, it's beautiful to me. congrats!

Killer Dime!! I think your chewed up one has more eye appeal than my smooth one:icon_thumleft:

Thanks Buck... I think this dime caught some buckshot or else a very small BB. Between the last 3 in 1833 & the first star there is an indention from a very small round object. on the back it's right where the "O" is in United States "O"f America & you can see the O looks funny cause of this.

Yes I do! Thanks!

Like I posted above this dime was possibly shot or at least caught some buckshot at some point in it's life.

Ya it's chewed up alright & I guess if I had a choice Id take a chewed up one with some detail over a worn smooth one. This dime looks to have been thru hell & back, was even most likely hit with some buckshot.

Nice bust dime. After 40yrs. still looking for my first. Congrats.

Thanks! Gotta keep on keeping on! Here is a better one for ya.. I've never found a Merc Dime:dontknow:, finding a Bust before a Merc is kinda crazy IMO:icon_scratch:!

Amazing cond. Looks like most of the details are there, And the surface damage was done after it was lost............jmho
