Thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. Buddy took me out to a new spot and I was fortunate enough to find this US buckle ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1467050853.867883.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1467050869.116981.webp

It was close to 10 inches in the ground, little over the top of my garret carrot. I had dug four holes in a row, pieces of alum fence tie wire all 5-6 inches down and in my plug. Then I popped out the next plug and signal still in the hole, got down with my hand held trowel and kept digging around the signal center them saw the back edge with some lead, I reached in flipped it over and there is was. I was shaking happy!

Congrats on the buckle....hope you never lose the "shaking happy" feeling when you pop out a nice CW relic.

Thanks Casper! I always enjoy seeking your field and water finds. All those musket balls from last hunt were awesome

Fantastic find.
Well done.

That's a beauty! Still waiting for one to turn up here out west...may be waiting a long time lol. Now find the cartridge box plate!

That buckle has a beautiful color and the hooks look to be in great shape as well. Congrats to you!

Sweet buckle, I would be tempted to have it restored and then I would wear it.
Congrats on a great find.
