Went to the farm after work for about an hour last night and found these; is the one considered a Dalton? Broken tip but I was still very excited! The one with the grey stripe is roughly shaped, looks like a work in progress or made by someone just learning the skill! And, of course, a broken piece, which is what we usually find. All in all, a good evening!

Nice finds eppingera. Wouldn't it be neat if there was some solution you could put them in it would produce a complete history...

I forgot to tell you looks like you are in the rite spot and nice finds.

Dang that is a shame it is broken. It looks like it would of been a nice center for a frame. Is it quartz? Hard to see the flaking on it is why I ask.

I know, right? A heartbreaker for sure. It's not quartz, seems to be typical chert material that we see a lot around here. The pics are not the best. I have in situ pics on my phone that I will post..

Thanks! I carried it around with me all day wondering about the one who made it and the circumstances of how it came to be in that location...lost or abandoned; was it used in a kill...Dang. Now I want to play hooky and go hunting again!
