First of all....I need a stronger magnet!:laughing7:
But I did well!....7 knives, two of them keepers.:headbang:
A bunch of fish hooks, leaders, and lures, that I gave to guys fishing. They were skeptical of me at first, but then became all buddy buddy with me when I gave them the goods. Got a beer in return so that was good.
Also found a lawn chair, wife didn't want it, it smells, and still had some baby crabs on it by the time I got home.:dontknow:
My bucket of trash....

Good stuff right here....

Oh...one more thing...A FREAKIN BIKE !!!:tongue3:

No way to bring it up, too heavy....so I trolled the magnet out deeper, and was able to wedge/snag in the beast....I was the King of the Pier today!

The bike could be cleaned up, good to go...but again, wife is like no. Sitting on the curb, waiting for a scrapper...shouldn't take long.

So, like I said, 2 knives are keepers, they cleaned up well. The Winchester folds up nice, and locks...my God, I'm becoming a hoarder.

So, the Caloosahatchie River is just a bit cleaner, thanks for looking!:hello:

Awesome bike!

Way to go. That looks like alot of fun.

I suppose having smaller magets can self limit the object sizes.

Dave, I was just watching some magnet fishing videos last week and was going to try it out. Now it looks like I'm really going to have to do it. Looks like you had a good first time haul.

wow, nice finds!

I always wondered what happens if a magnet fisher hooks onto a car, or washing machine?

Nice, my last time out with my magnets I got a strange thing made of rebar a rod and reel (toasted) and an arrow.... I need to get back out and have another go at it

Danged Dave!

I'd read of a few threads on here about magnet fishing. I was pretty well +/- on the idea.

And then you had to post this.....

By the way, CONGRATS!

.... You said you needed a stronger magnet.......

What strength magnet you talking about?

WTG that looks like a wonderful lazy day in the waders.

WHERE is the tpicture of your rig man ? ? ?

I wanna see your rig. heh

Where the magnet ?

Well, I for one would have kept the fillet knives as well. Also, the other folder that you're scrapping could be disassembled and cleaned. But I think your wife is wrong about that bike. Looks like an older (vintage-ish) model to me. Might be worth looking into!!

What kind/strength magnet(s) are you using now? What kine of line/retrieval system?

Love the post!!! Showed it to my wife and she rolled her eyes and said.... Here we go!!

The two I got on the Amazon were the chrome plated 200 lb pull...no where close to that though. It does have a strong grip on a flat surface, that's not real world hunting though...
OX Magnets has a 375 lb, neomodyium bad boy, I want that one, shoulda got that one in the first place....

I've got one magnet rated a little over 400lbs, the problem I run into is that sticky bayou mud we have here just won't let go of things. I need to figure out a way to mount a wedge or something to drag through in front of the magnet. I thought about a grapple, but I'm pretty sure I'd just get it snagged on the first toss....

Oh contraries, no waders necessary!....dropped straight down off the fishing piers.:laughing7:

Polarized sunglasses, wide brim hat, and sunblock.
I didn't wear gloves, just because The Injury Thread has gone dry....

The bike was a modern cruiser style, Huffy...after I posted this, my nap was calling...so 2 hours later, sure enough, the chair and bike are gone.:laughing7:
The rope is 200 lb tensile strength, 75 feet of it, from the Home Depot....My knot is straight off the internet, aside from tying my shoes, that's all I got.
Most important, the 5 gal bucket....gotta properly dispose of your trash, right?
