My Bounty Hunter Quick silver isn't so quick after all lol. After all these years of detecting in my back yard, I have finally found my first gold ring! It came up as a pull tab and 5 cents on the target ID. I dug a plug about 10 inches deep and pulled it out. Inside the plug the object looked like a pull tab because it was circular and sticking out. I hemmed and Hawed on weather to pull it out or not but I did anyway because I'm big on removing trash and cleaning the Earth. But to my amazement, the earth has treated me with a really awesome gold ring with amethyst and possibly diamond specks. My hands were really shaking , adrenaline and excitement was rushing through me once again. That same feeling I had when I found my Mercury Dime has come back. The design of the ring is really nice and definitely worth keeping. So for now on, I'm no longer ignoring the Aluminum/5 cents target ID any more. :laughing7: 2013 has been a great huning year for me. Enjoy!

Nice find RelicPrime113. Thanks for sharing...

Congrats! I hope it's the first of many more for you !

:occasion18: Congrats.Finding gold is awesome to me.So for i have found 1 gold ring and i thought i would do backflips.HH.

The 10K gold rings I have found came in with a VDI of 53-55 on my AT Pro, exactly the same as nickels. I always dig the repeatable signals in this range. The old style pulltabs are usually in the 65-68 range. The current style tabs that have to be bent and removed also ring in at 53-55....and sometimes drive me nuts. Why would people want to pull them off? Is it like peeling the paper label off of beer bottles???

Congrats on your first gold ring, and a vary nice one....:occasion14:

Awesome ring. I personally never found a gold ring, but I have found silver rings. Two in one day. Fantastic work!!:goldtrophy:

Glad to see someone finding gold with a quicksilver! Gives me hope!!

Congrats: it's even shaped like a pulltab ring! Found my first real gold ring this year too! :icon_thumleft:

AWESOME!!! Congrats on your first gold ring! Ya those darn pull tabs like to masquerade as gold rings and they are real good at it. My pull tab collection is second only to my pennies ! There will be more gold for ya! HH!

Beautiful ring with elegant setting -- CONGRATS!:occasion16::wav::occasion16:

After nearly 3 years detecting with my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV, I finally dug my first two gold rings within a couple months of each other. Like you & others mention, both were in areas loaded with junk & junky signals. Persistence pays off! HAVE FUN! Andi

Thanks, glad you guys liked it!

Any idea how old it is?
