My first gold show

GPAA had a show in Vallejo CA and it was about an hour from home so I went. Glad I did it sure was fun and sparked the fever even higher -- lots of neat stuff to look at -- was impressed with the Royal booth and also talked briefly with Mike about the gold cube. To my surprise not one puffer drywasher to look at. Sure was fun being around like minded people and I hope the guy I gave my raffle tickets to won something.

I was there all day - I have to say I like the ICMJ shows better, that said there were a few familiar faces out there. The seminars at the GPA shows are really targeted at new miners/detectorists. If you can, I highly recommend checking out the ICMJ show in a few weeks.

I went down with a buddy yesterday and spent the day, we had a good time first show for both of us. Picked up a couple things and my buddy won one of the raffle items.

I was there all day Saturday volunteering, helping keep an eye on things, for East Bay Prospectors. They help us with our show in Sonora so we return the favor.

Thanks for the tip --- It might be doable for me --- might go to Tahoe first spent the night then hit the show on the way home.
