My First Indian Cent: 1909 S

My son and I were detecting on our family's farm when I popped my first Indian cent! This evening I lightly cleaned it with some distilled water and a soft toothbrush to remove the grit, so we could see the mint mark, and we both could not believe it. 1909 S! 307,000 mintage! I never thought finding a penny could make me so happy.

Wow, Jackpot!!!! Absolutely wild dig! Don't get used to looking for mintmarks on Indians because there's only 1908 S and 1909 S and both are super rare. Congratulations on an epic IHP dig!
