More interesting with the hole I think! Most of the dug IH cents are worth little anyway, but nice pieces of history! Great find!

That's a cool find! If you don't like it, mail it to me!:laughing7: Just kidding of course. There's more out there to find.

Still a nice find and firsts are always good to get out of the way... Now you can start keeping count on the many more to follow!

Thats an awesome find! Its got a story, and it mean you have found a good spot!

Thanks for all the positives...
Yeah, I guess it was part of a charm bracelet or something.
Yeah, way better than some ole blackened zinc

But, ya see, this was just one that fell off a bracelet with 100 more on it. ;) Go back and look for the rest. LOL

HH!

that picture tells me it's a cool find

That's a cool find. You could put it on a chain for good luck on your next hunt.

Nice IH and now you got your first out of the way.

Donkarlos, Beats the last penny I found vertically, a modern lincoln rotted completely in half from salt/fertilizer damage right below the eye.......

I think holed coins are cool. And if my first dug Indian Head penny had a hole, I would certainly wear it around my neck! Congrats on your first IH penny...

Nice find!!

Like someone else said....better that than an 87 Lincoln!!

Great Find! I am excited for you! :icon_thumright:

Excellent find! I think holed coins are cool!
As has been said “It has a story behind it.” It could have been someone’s ace in a hole hanging by a string around there neck. I’ll wager a guess in 1892 it could have bought at the least a bite to eat at the end of a long day. Or it could have had some significant date for the wearer, a birth date, first child etc., who knows? For whatever reason it was not just another 1892 penny to whom ever put the hole in it.

I'd put that on my key ring or hang it from my rearview mirror!:icon_thumright:

Good find, most of the coins that have holes in them was on string and put around the neck I think. That's what I would do with it. Well some thing like that. Can some one help me with this.lol
