Found my first Indian this weekend in the woods hunting with a friend.

That is one sweet IH. I picked the wrong side of the path to hunt! Lol We need to go get some more.

Found it about 3 to four inchs deep

Very nice IH. I have yet to find one but the search continues.
 
I was using a 1968 model 1/2 French, 1/2 Houma Indian....lol The south Louisiana model....
 
That's a real nice one.
 
Nice find! I remember my first IH, it came just a few weeks after I got into the hobby. I didn't even know what it was, and I was absolutely fascinated that this piece of history was hiding in the ground for close to 150 years.
