Hello all, I have been an avid detectorist for 10 years but recently came into privy digging. Found all of these marbles in about 3 or 4 pits. Twenty of them in one 8 foot deep privy. Not knowing how to identify what types I have, I thought I would show the experts here. So here are a few pics of them. Maybe you can help me with what types these are. I have heard of clay, benningtons and others so I guess I'm not a complete idiot........yet! :laughing7: What do ya think about em? Thanks all..jgas

Clay and early Akro Agate Co..

Firgure pre-1920. I get the same combo out here in the Mojave desert digging the old dumps of Trona,Ca.

in the first pic the clay marble with the blue (or purple) swirl is from akron standard toy very desireable...google akron marbles.the 3 glass marbles in your hand look the be alleys...the green may be hand gathered .......the clays are commies and the glazed ones are benningtons...nice group of old marbles.
