Recently bought a Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 and after testing it out in my yard on an assortment of coins, roofing nails, and other trash to test her out I finally hit the road on my first hunt. Went to the picnic area/tot lot at a local little league baseball field yesterday. Four hours and 1 nasty case of heat exhaustion later I came out with $4.40 in newer pennies, dimes, and quarters.
It's not much but it's a start. At least I'm getting a lot better now at zeroing in on targets and distinguishing tones.
Next up, public land & woods surrounding an old 1700's/1800's property (going to hunt just outside the old wooden property fence).
