I know this is not a great find but it is a morale booster to me got my md 6 weeks ago and had only found 7 cents total in the parks that i go to.So i thought am i destined to only find pulltabs/botle caps and rusty nails. When my md when off it seemed to be going crazy. But it did show the quarter.Dug the hole and found the rusty nails and bottle cap.Put my garrett pp in the hole and there it was on the side of the hole in the wall.Any other time i would have given up.So maybe when i go to the beach next week i may be lucky. Not much but it is my 1974 quarter. And this was found 8" down on the side of my house.

Nice find (first quarter) - now, frame that puppy and hang it in your den justdon. Thanks for sharing...

CONGRATS on your first quarter! :blob9: :hello2:You were totally right to keep checking instead of giving up due to the trashy items. And you're gonna have a blast at the beach!

My two best beach finds were each dug amid junk -- heavy gold ring mixed in with corroded junk spoon & lots of big
nearby iron, and at a different beach a silver ring with lovely little stones popped out of the sand after I'd persisted in digging 8 or 9 nasty old nails in the same tiny area.

Please post your beach finds -- good, bad, ugly & great!

We all have to start somewhere. It will get better and better as you learn your machine. Good hunting!
