Found my first silver coin today! it's a Mercury Dime from 1917 :icon_thumleft:
Also found a 1977 Ike coin, a 1956 Penny and a 1976 Dime. "Just thought I might throw that in there"
And also, a whole lot of junk! I figured i would clean the Mercury dime, since it's junk silver and I want to keep it with my collection of World coins :)

And to top it of!! i found a Merchant coin, Good DSCN1531.webpDSCN1534.webpDSCN1536.webpDSCN1540.webpDSCN1541.webpDSCN1542.webpDSCN1544.webpDSCN1546.webpDSCN1548.webpDSCN1550.webpDSCN1554.webpDSCN1557.webpfor 5 cents in trade 8-)

That's sweet!
I got a few places i'm going to for metal detecting, 1 is in the woods next to an old Fire Department.
And another is 7 acres of farm land!! "lots of detecting there :D"

You never know whats there unless you swing your coil over it. I hunt field sometimes, but it sure is a lot of swinging for few good targets. I prefer to hunt permissions in town where the houses were built in the latter part of the 1800s. Any yard with a house on it built in the 1950's or earlier produce silvers. Good Luck on those sites.

The farm with 7 acres had a barn built on it in the late 1800s!
So hopes are high :)
