I went back to the homesite where i found the early navy button. And wow! where do i start? I guess with the first hole i dug and the cut silver pops out!!! Unbelievable. My first... and second. Its two pieces smashed together! 1723. How cool is that. I dug what i thought was a heel plate with a heart on it but im not sure because its awful small. A nice eagle I button. A underwear button. A large final of some sort. A piece of a buckle i assume. A cool candle snuffer.a small lead piece that looks like it couldve been used as a nipple cover? A Zouave button. A pulled bullet. Some sort of lead cone. Maybe a game piece? And a trigger guard and trigger from what i think is a Enfield!! It was an awesome day. Thanks for looking. 20170204_194050.jpg20170204_200135.jpg20170204_104550.jpg14862584503181743635971.jpg1486258619721966435867.jpg20170204_200123.jpg1486259273797-1764183312.jpg

Congratualtions on the awesome relic hunt! :occasion14:

The relic count its going high

Nice assortment of early finds :occasion14:

Great finds, you have a tremendous site there, dig everything (kindof what it looks like you have been doing, lol) Congrats!

How very interesting! Never seen anything like two separate pieces of the same coin stuck together like that before, wonder how it happened? Very cool! :icon_thumleft:
Cool early candle snuffer scissors too!

That candle snuffer (or wick trimmer as it's sometimes called) is a great find as yours may be the only complete example I've seen dug. I've hunted at hundreds of colonial sites over the last 20+ years and only have a couple snuffer boxes to show for all my efforts. I'd love to have one of those in my collection. Very nice man!!

Looks as though it was beat together with a Hammer and punch?

I was very excited when it popped out. I actually dug the tip of it thats broken off the other day and put 2 and 2 together so to speak and it makes it a complete set. Thanks bill d.1486336276445-177575875.jpg
