I was able to get back to a location that I hunted about 3 years ago. Back then I had found a 17th leicestershire regiment of foot coat button which is still my favorite button.

I decided to head into the woods a bit and had a great hunt, 3 hours over 2 days.

Found two of the suspender clips, flat button, and the buckle yesterday, Any idea what the buckle was used for?

Today I found the suspender clip with Patent 1884 on the front.

Found my first Eagle A button. Pretty stoked about that one.

Also found some other what is its, including the concave thing with the two guys who appear to me to be fencing but I'm not sure, have it posted on the WII forum.

Thankfully the heat had subsided a bit so I only sweated through 90 percent of my shirt :tongue3:

Thanks for looking and HH.

Nice A button. Still looking for mine. As for the other looks more like partying than fencing to me!

Congrats on your A! :hello2:
Those are two of the nicest suspender clips I've seen...
The 'Battle button' is quite interesting, why do you think it's 20th C ?
must be something about the back..
I think your buckle may have been from the suspenders also,
maybe sash.. :icon_scratch:
great finds! Congrats & HH

Thanks relic lover. You're right it does look like they are partying, the guy on the right seems to have a mug in his hand.

Yeah I've been very surprised at how many different suspender clips have been poping up in this area. No home or evidence of one here and it's heavily wooded.

Thanks

Very interesting finds Bob! :hello2:

It's surprising how many suspender clips people lost way back when! ???
Makes me wonder if most of the people weren't walking around town
with their down pants around their butts! :laughing7:
Kinda like how the teenagers of today wear them! :laughing9:

There must've been something going on in that area? :dontknow:
Maybe do a bit of on-line research for an old area map or
talk to some older folks at the local mall or library.
(Of course Bob you already know this stuff ! :D )

Best of luck to you, :icon_thumright:

haha thats too funny Dave, I was thinking the same thing as I was digging the third suspender clip, imagining a bunch of people running around holding up their pants. :laughing9: :laughing9:
