My great grandfather's blacksmith shop, Richmond, TX - 1913

This is a photo a friend of mine found on the web of my great grandfather's blacksmith shop in Richmond, TX during a flood in 1913. Amazing what one can find online.

Nice photo. My Grandfather Ike Garrett, built and operated the first blacksmith shop in Bastrop Louisiana.

You got that right, Idablo, found an old relative, I had lost touch with, by going to a geneology site looking for something completely different.
An old HS buddy's dad had the last blacksmith shop in my hometown. Ironically it was torn down and replaced with the first completely solar powered business (a bank) in the state, back in the 70's. I remember his old coke machine was the last one in town where you could still get a coke for a dime.
Thanks for posting.
