Design is being finalized and construction has begun. No pics yet, but we're still in stage one. Biggest problem so far? I'm already 100% over budget! My wife says WTH happened!?? :dontknow: Read it and weep with me please:

Sluice costs

LeTrap $70.00
2200GPH $80.00
Hose $11.00
Stain $15.00
2x4’s $7.00
Hardware $?.00
PVC $?.00
Misc parts N/C
Labor N/C
Total $200(est)

This doesn't include the $100 I already dropped to make me a better prospector and make me want to spend the extra $100.. :violent1: Sorry honey, I meant to say $200 for the sluice.
And I thought I did pretty good?
Pray for me8-)

That'll happen! Do it right the first time and it won't nickel and dime you to death. You're off to a good start and if you can get your wife hooked she'll forget all about that budget thing...(hopefully :hello2: ). You have a good sluice, a good pump, those are key and will let you grow your equipment as you see fit.

Looks good to me!

One thing I've learned after 28 yrs of marriage, is that you shouldn't tell them about everything you spend money on.:laughing7:

I wish thats all i had invested in mining equipment! i spent way more on fuel each year than that! BUT thats the cost of haveing fun! if you get into some gold gold, that $200. wont be sqwat, and youll be smileing big time!

I don't ask my wife about the shoes that seem to breed and she don't ask me about the guns, fishing rods and reels or prospecting gear that seem to breed. has worked for us over 38 years!

Sounds good Jeff! With that pump is sounds like you're really going to be able to move some water through the system which is a very good thing. Now the only problem is going to be digging enough materials to keep that thing well fed. As I mentioned in my last PM, the equipment here is going to be getting a major upgrade pretty soon. Been up most of the night thinking over what "toys" would be best to make all this easier for Robi and I. His and Hers detectors are on the top of the list, as well as some off road wheels with a motor to haul materials.
