Hi guys, I've made a lot of my own prospecting and recovery tools (as you might have seen with the videos I've put up recently) and I thought I'd share another one of the Miller water table I made using a hobby mat and bits I found lying around the place, The only thing I had to buy for this was the mat as I used a spare fish tank pump for the water... Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think of it. There's a link in the video to another clip I filmed of it running material through which I'll put up later on

how many other people have made their own miller water tables?

I made one years ago, it wasnt super great.

I've built 2 a 10x 17" and a 6x12". Both use cutting mats. The blue mat on the 6x12 is a blue gasket material I tried as a test. The mat grabbed gold too well and had a hard time sweeping the gold to the glory hole. Both cutting mats were sanded with 400 grit sandpaper, and not too much gold leaves the table when set correctly. I use a Harbor Freight 8oz applicator bottle with the tip cut off to apply material to the table.
