Hey my friends! I know I haven't posted in a while but I finally got out today and dug for a few hours.....I didn't really find much but it was still nice to get out for some much needed leisure....

Went out to our old family farm property and the ground there was HARD....We really need some rain, so I did not stay there for very long....

First find I came across was this 1950's Stanley Home Aluminum Coaster...

I left from the farm and went to my Maw Maw & Paw Paw's house, drank a few beers and did some detecting around their yard....An old home used to sit where their home is now.......These were my finds...

- Monopoly game piece hat....
- Interesting broach...
- Merchantile Token
- Presto Mason Jar lid
- St. Joseph's Asprin tin.

Definitely going back to Maw Maw & Paw Paw's one evening this week to do some more detecting!

Looks like you're on track to make a big find soon! :icon_thumright:
I wish the ground here would dry up a bit so that I could get out to hunt! :laughing7:

That token looks to be a bi-metallic with the aluminum center missing. Any idea what and where it's from?
My only bi-token find is missing the center as well.
Sweet digs.

The token was actually for a merchantile that was here in my town once......Grandpa has found two of them in his yard years ago as well.....I'm not sure why the middle of it was missing, but the other two Grandpa found were also missing as well...When I dug it up, the middle just fell out......Weird....Thanks for the comment!

Way to go!

Looks like y'all had fun. Did Dad go this time too?

We did have fun ! Dad did not go this time... He and Mom were out on a lake fishing in their new boat ! ;)

Interesting finds. The coaster is pretty cool.

Is the ground hard from heat and just being dry? It's funny what a difference 1000 miles makes. Here the ground has been hard because it has been frozen solid. But, we're pretty much past that now, finally !!! though it was 26 degrees this morning.

Good luck with your return visit !!!
