I'm still hitting the settlement as much as possible. Not a single silver coin yet, but the relics are still turning up. I'll start with an image of the site from a 1790's map. Then more buttons, more lead, and more whatsits.

It will turn up eventually. Keep at it. Fortuneately it doesn't usually freeze here for more than a few days at a time.

I have been told that they are the uppermost pieces of the bedposts from brass beds. Makes sense to me.
