I was fortunate enough to pick one of these 7070 albums up for a real cheap price. I will be updating this thread as I gain more coins. Let me know if you have any coins I need for trade or sale... Thank you!

*I think my 43 steel cent may be a proof.
*both my silver roosevelt dime and silver washington quarter' are proofs.

**on the last page it calls for a modern commemorative 1983-date... What is this?

That's a fun set to try to put together. Mine is complete but it took me 30 years. In fact when I started on it I had the coins in 2 Whitman books but have switched all my sets over to Dansco albums since. For the modern commemorative it's your choice what to put in there. Dollar coin size. I used a Statue of Liberty Dollar. Here's some pics to give you incentive.

There were no proof steel cents, most likely yours has been reprocessed. Looks like you are off to a good start!

Thanks for all the input everyone! I am also awaiting page 6 for the 7070 which is the US gold page. Anyone have that page too??

I've got the gold page in the mail coming to me along with a type 3 gold dollar :) I'll have to post pics when I get them

I've been thinking of putting one of these together. Will be gladly following this thread. Keep it up!!

thanks! FYI: the 7070 album is out of print and can cost a pretty penny... Apparently they're still in the process of updating it... Since 2011? Anyway I plan on filling it at my own pace... I am waiting for the gold page in the mail.

Yeah my lcs has a few of them. But filling it is übber expensive. So I was thinking about one or two coins a year

You're off to a great start! IMHO, a type set is a more feasible, beautiful, and more rewarding than a date-and-mintmark set. Building an attractive type set will make you learn so much about the coin collecting hobby. Mine is nearly complete, and I feel that it is my greatest numismatic accomplishment. Just waiting for a chance to get some nice seated dollars without breaking the bank.

Take a close up of that Ike for me please? Is it Philadelphia or Denver mint? I really like it.....:occasion14:

I agree that a type set is much more interesting than any other set that's just different dates & mint marks of the same coin. And fun to show to friends. Most people outside of the hobby have never heard of a 2 cent, 3 cent or a 20 cent coin, etc.
