Buy Andy's book and head over to you tube, lots of good videos to be learn from.

I just purchased an Excal II a bit ago and have only used it twice. Test garden and once at the beach. I am no expert with detecting and machines but have been doing this since my child hood and I will be 50 this year. Reading your manual multiple times and setting up a test bed with various items that you may come across is the best advise I may offer you. Oh, congrates on the new machine, I hope it brings you many great finds and years of quality time.

Already did those lol i was so excited before and after I ordered that I read the book twice and watched every video on YouTube lol

Welcome to the dark side!

Congrats on the new machine.

That should serve you well.

Charge the battery. Push on button. Swing. Find great stuff. Yes I too went to the dark side.

Congrats! I hope you have a good digger, because you'll be finding deep stuff with it! :headbang:

Congratulations on the new detector. I had an Explorer SE and it hits hard and Deep!

What a beast. I'd love half that. My wife would literally kill me if I paid that much for a detector.

I got it for a good deal

I do not have the Explorer, so no help there, but I do have a Minelab Safari, it's little brother?, was not to fond of it at first, I think more than likely the flute like sounds, BUT after working with it for some time, it clicked--- I really do like it, more so with the smaller SEF butterfly coil, often over the AT Pro. I do believe you have one really good machine, hang in there, work with it, you will have NO regrets. none.

Nice, I can't wait for my next upgrade as my ace 350 is only capable of so much and has some false targets lately. I just found out recently by downloading frost wire to download music you can get books on there as well all free. Pretty nice and congrats on new machine, happy hunting.
