My New Hobby-"Prospecting"

I've always wanted my own metal detector, in hopes finding a bit of gold in all these rocks around me; however its not exactly gold, its silver, beautiful sparkly silver. This was found in my first 30 minutes of playing with my new toy! Can anyone help the identify it?

Welcome to the forum from White Plains, New York! As we don't know what part of the Country you're in, and the picture is not great, I have no clue what you've found. Also, what detector are you using?

So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).
