Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I built the smaller one last year and added the miners moss December 2012, Its 4" wide and 48" long without the Flare. and 58" long with the flare
The Bigger one is 8" wide and 58" long with the Flare I started construction on it November 2012 and added the miners moss December 2012 tested it with carpet before switching it over to the blue miners moss.

The 4" wide one works great in small creeks with little flow catches all the black sand and fines. The bigger one I actually used it last week on my trip to North Ga and it too catches all the black sand s and fine gold used it on a creek which was to big for my new Super Mini Bazooka which is included in the last picture to show the sizes. I am currently working on a way of classifying materials for both of my home made sluices so I can run them as fast as the Bazooka.. As for the riffle matting a friend of mine made it for me he owns a vacuum mold company in Jacksonville and he helped me with this design. we are testing several different designs out this one works really well, Catches all the Black sand and very fine flower gold.
As for the Bazooka I do have concerns with it, When doing clean outs I have noticed way less black sand in it than in my sluices. all from the same creek. It seems to be catching the gold, but I am concern that maybe some of the finer gold is washing out with the Black sand..

Davidail, those boxes look awesome you must be a sheet metal fabricator or something, very, very nice!

I've done some sheet metal fabrication in the past. I own a Landscaping Co now LOL The 4" is made out of plastic ABS Fence post from Home depot I ripped it down the middle on a table saw. The bigger one is made of 7075 Aluminum .088 thick, I used a friends metal break to make the bends and a tig wielder to make the wields. Used 316 Stainless bolts and wingnuts for all the fasteners.
