My old Harley's / Detectors from the 70's & 80's

Show us your old detectors that are still operational...
md1.webpmd2.webpmd3.webpmd4.webpmd5.webpmd both.webpThese are mine from back in the day... they both still work great. I was buying 12" coils in the 70's... I just ordered a NEL 15" Attack coil for my Pro :)

I have a Garrett ACE 350 & a Garrett AT PRO I use now...

Where are the Harleys?

thanx for the pix from "memory lane" haha. There's a section of findmall's forum specifically for "vintage detectors". Some cool old pix on there. And if you google vintage metal detectors, there's a forum specific for that as well.

The Garrett Bloodhound still works just fine. They claim it will detect a basketball sized object at 5 feet below surface.
The Compass X-100 had a great pinpoint feature where you press the button and slowly move coil placed on ground,
and when needle on meter reached highest point - that was top-dead-center of object. It was pretty accurate.

So the yellow box - anyone know just by looking at it?

No idea ???

Some type of geiger counter...
