I bought a $500 box of dimes today and found a 1929 Canada 10 cents in VF condition also 1950 S and 1957 D Roosevelts in same box Also a WF had $10 in halves as the teller is handing them to me Im getting excited as I see what looks like a silver edge it is a strange coin with all Arabic lettering on both sides and an image of what appears to be a small palace or a mosque slightly smaller than a half not silver but a really cool find

I'm curious to see what that arabic coin looks like, could we get a pic?

I second that, a pic would be very cool.

That is awesome!! Two very cool finds. Well done and thank you for posting.

here are the images the Arabic coin is slightly smaller than a half dollar also seen is the 1929 Canada 10 cents

It's an Iranian 100 rial coin. It's dated 1377 AH, so I'm not sure what that translates to in AD years.

I believe it translates into 1998 in AD years, but I could be wrong.

What is that "rust" on the Canadian dime?

nice score, I would take that canadian dime over any silver roosie! Congrats, hope you get more from that batch- my oldest canadian dime is 1959.

Nice catch on that silver dime. My earliest is 1938 silver dime. Feel a bit ashamed living in Canada and getting no old coins lately, but I would expect no one here to find a 1920 or 1921 Canadian penny in the US :laughing9:

And you found these coins in Santa Fe?

I love a coin with a king and a crown.

Found in San Jose California Also the rust Im guessing it was in a toolbox or grampas screw and nail jar? before his rocket scientist heirs cashed it in?
