John was my first metal detecting buddy and taught me the frustration of Gold Panning and Gold detecting. He could not master his Explorer and would either pan gold or fly a kite while I detected.
He liked to spend the hot weather in Wyoming prospecting. In cold weather he headed south. No destinations just heading out. He loved to drive his big Buick and I enjoyed traveling with him. Sent him an email this morning and found he passed away recently. He had serious illnesses, but never complained. Just went on a road trip.
He was really into HAM radio and had a nice setup and antenna on the roof of his Lakewood Colo condo. KC0ZNZ
Good guy who made the most of what he had.
