Well there has been a lot of debate over this stone ball I have gotten. I just wanted to clear some things on it by some books that I have with pictures on these types of artifacts. I wanted to share these because they do look like milling balls and I really dont want somebody to find one and think it is not a artifact and then throw it away or destroy it. I have some examples from 2 different books. The white one of course is for mine and it shows in the pic just like mine with a little bit of damage on it. The others is for Riverman to see that his is a game ball also. You can post yours again River if you like to show to what you have found. Not all game balls are small. Thanks, rock
I did have mine looked at by an expert in artifacts and he said quote, YES it is a game ball.

I was wondering why no one has any native American clay game balls. Wouldn't that make alot more sence if all you were going to do was roll it around with a stick? Why would you take all that time when all you needed to do was ball up some clay mixed with sand?

First artifact I ever found. I was no older than 5 years old. (talking about the ball) flat piece is the same type clay. I do not know what it's purpose was, if any.

All found in person co. But no pottery. Strange.

Those are some nice looking stone balls there NC. I still have 2 small ones for my frame. One is Sandstone and the Other is Quartz. Both are nice examples and they were personal finds. This one however is the largest I have ever seen. It has a shovel kiss on one side of it and the other side just like in the book is patina from age. I had somebody PM me on it and offered a fair price on it and as far as I know it has been sold. Thanks for the interest on it, rock
