My Rev War 4s came in 3s!

Back to the field I dug the 76th button and didn't find much, at least in total, but yet again it was another killer relic day! For over 15 years I had wanted to find a 2nd issue Loyalist King's American regiment/4th American Regiment with the Tudor rose and unbelievably this is my 3rd in the last year! Still a bit more cleaning to do, but I want to take my time as it's better than I expected, but there was some real hard green crud on it.

The other button is pretty cool, and have to assume it's another early Scottish militia, but not something I have ever seen before. It was actually my first target of the day! But then like a dummy I moved on trying other parts of the field and failing bad, and then finally made my way back to the junky spot and dug the King's button. Given I'm 2/2 I guess I'll have to give it another shot tomorrow before I cool the jets for a bit.

Finished cleaning and unfortunately getting the rest of that very stubborn corrosion removed was a trade-off because it degraded the button a bit. But I still prefer it this way. It's also waxed which makes it tougher to take a good picture.

Was out again today and my digs were back to the usual stuff. But it was still a heck of a run, 5 early military in two short hunts including two that may be my best two for the year.
