Got out to hunt with JF late morning and on my way to the park I get a text with picture of the 1916D Barber quarter he just dug. I was coming up empty until I dug this intact ladies sash buckle from 10 inches down. My second such buckle this week; never dug one before, now I have two.

Mike, that was a fantastic find for the day. It cleaned up nicely. That place is slowly giving up her secrets. Congrats.

Thanks Jamie! I don't have the patience you have with this site. That old dirt cropping up here and there is a puzzle. Someone else is hunting that site; saw some new holes on the hillside.

Very nice!!!

Thanks lairmo! This sash buck run is pretty cool. Great to connect with Baltimore ladies fashion from the past.

Due to the construction of the buckle, it would match up give or take 20 years to the coin you found.

Thanks smokey! Within a 100 feet or so of this buckle, past digs have produced an 1864 2-cent piece (mine) and a one reale (Jamie's). He got that 1916D Barber today, lucky bloke :).

Very nice find, congrats!!!

Sounds like you guys are having fun and finding the goodies!!!!!!

Pretty darn cool buckle! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks Whyme! Saw the frame in the dirt clod and thought at first I had a shoe buckle frame. Alas, not that old. :)

Thanks Tommy! That Jamie's a tough act follow. Keeps me on my toes. :)

Thanks Yak1366! Great to find a relic today.
