The water was on the rise and over a foot higher than last trip but I managed a 1943-P silver nickel. I climbed down a bunch of wet and slick rocks and nearly fell on them a few times to get to a spot just to find out there was only a 3 foot wide and 10 foot long area to hunt. I stood there a minute disgusted to find that tiny little spot was all that was out of the water and I turned to leave. I stopped and thought, heck, I worked hard to get here and I'm going to hunt it. I turned the Ace 250 on and waved it a couple of times and got a nickel signal. I scraped the red clay and out rolled a 1946 nickel. I checked the spot again and got another signal right beside it and found the silver nickel. They were right on top of the red clay laying face down. I found the rest of the stuff at the place where I found the gold ring last week. My best find there was the Mann's C-4 bass plug and it looks brand new. A nice little $5 plug I guess. That will come in handy next spring for sure. I got another 50 plus sinkers to add to the collection. I guess every little bit of lead we get out of our drinking water will help us in the long run. Have a great night you all.
