Walked my gravel bars again today and after 2 and a half hours ended up at the bar where I found the large broken blade a couple days ago. I was tired and sat down for about 10 minutes and watched the creek flow by. Occasionally I would scan the gravel but mainly watching the waterfowl downstream or rubbing the sweat out of my eyes. When I got up to head on I noticed a small triangle shape and immediately dismissed it as a chip or possible flake. I went ahead and bent over to pick it up and man am I glad I did!!! My smallest point ever!! Paper thin! I was so scared of losing it that this thing rode between my cheek and gum for the next hour and a half back to the vehicle...lol

That's one sweet little point.
Then again only you would know that from sucking on it for a hour and a half.
Great eye, and great way of keeping it safe.
Though it might of been a tad painful passing it if you had swallowed it.

My brother you got eyes like a fox congratulations beautiful tiny point

Been wearing contacts since I was 15 to see far away. Now readers to see up close. It must be a half blind fox you refer to...lol. This was just dumb butt luck! Thanks brother.

You know I was thinking that exact same thing. I kept thinking what if a bear or something spooks me and I inhale...lol

Just a bit of housekeeping, jug hill is Madison’s ozark cousin, but I’m not sure the point is widely accepted as a type yet, I assume sw mo is safely in the ozark range but to me it’s splitting hairs both are small triangular points from the same timeframe

Okay I will call it Jug Hill unless I am farther north..lol. Thanks for the info.

That is a a very nice and beautiful small point! :icon_thumright: And a ''Killer'' point at that. Congratulations on a super nice find.

Awesome point, congrats.

On a normal bow & arrow, it would have been enough to kill land animal in North America. (Maybe not as fast as modern day hunters like, or with one shot, but ancients took down bison, moose, bears, elk, etc. with points that sized.)
