my son and I's best detecting day yet! FIRST LARGE CENT )$#*(_@ YEAH!!!
sorry about the title, still a bit amped up. Ok heres the story, today my son and I decided to hit the 19th century home we hit last week and it was a bust, lotta junk iron everywhere and bits of tin from the tin roof being torn off, so we went to the cornfield we got permission to hunt (my sons idea (Cjon455/JR)

. I swiped back and forth for about 15 minutes as I walked a straight line and all of a sudden got a wierd hit on the ACE 350, it was hitting all the way to the right in the 50cent 1$ piece range at 4", so nice thing is the field was cut so didnt have to be all pretty cutting a plug and there she was in all her green crusty glory, our FIRST LARGE CENT!!!!
, it was literally the 3rd target we dug, first 2 were cans. anyhow, we continued on for a bit and our next target was hitting the same exact way the LC did, and out popped the flat button that says "double gilt" on it
. and one more goofy ovel shaped button thingy its at the bottom of the next pic
. My batteries began to die after that so we hit the fairgrounds and nabbed up about $1.60 in clad before dark.
all in all a KILLER DAY.The last pic is the odds and ends junk we dug, pretty neat pottery we found too
Im having a hard time IDing the date on the LC and dont want to clean it, look at the following pics and see if you see the 1829 that i see??, i put it next to the 1845 we bought for comparison purposes

Guys sorry about the NOVEL, but it was an awesome day with my son and were both super excited and wanted to share. THANKS for reading and HH!!!!
