My Straight Shaft Came Today!

Well my Anderson straight shaft came today for my Excalibur ll. Can't wait to try it out, if the wind ever stops blowing. I think it is going to make a huge difference from the feel of it.....

Nope I am not what do I have wrong? I tried it different ways and liked that the best..

If your right handed, the knobs will be on the inside of your arm by that picture. Im right handed and I much prefer the controls and knobs are on the outside of my arm as they are much more protected when using my scoop, they will not be hit accidently and moved when they hit your body or the scoop digging, also a lot easier to adjust..

Like Treasure Hunter I had the knobs on the outside for the reasons he mentions. But I just didn't like having to pull my arm out of the cuff and insert it again to start hunting after having recovered a target. I now mount the controls on a harness that hangs from my neck. It takes more weight off the arm this way.

Well, the way it's set now you will have the knobs facing your body. In harms way.

The other way you would bring your right fore arm towards your chest and tune with left hand.
This keeps your controls away from the action.
With the Excal., you won't need to turn controls much, in fact rarely.

This way you need NO knob guards...........which get in the way, anyway

But, do what you feel comfortable with.
