My tips on mercs

Don't know if my tips will hld any weight, but I've found my silver mercury dimes by thinking "outside the box" (or fence). I'm not hardcore into this hobby but i've noticed that I find the silver on the fringes of the park or diamond.
Readings will fluctuate at times at 5-6" inches of depth.
Think outside the box and you will find the silver.

I would have to agree. My best finds are near the edges of whatever property I am working. Maybe cherry picking detectorists concentrating on the interior of the properties. jgas
