My wife is from Australia. After nine years of paperwork, interviews, starts, stops, setbacks, moving between two countries, having three awesome kids and shelling out some $$$ on various processing fees my wife finally became a citizen of the United States today. I am so proud of her! Tomorrow, she is going down to the welfare office! Okay that last part is a joke. :D :icon_sunny:

Congrats to your wife and to you too.

Congrats to your wife and to you!!! Am proud of both of you! -Noodle

Congratulations. And the best part is that she already speaks English. Well, sort of. ;D

She gonna have to let that Aussie stuff go and learn to speak proper English if she wants to live here and work at Taco Bell!

Danged Migrant Australians STEALING OUR JOBS! :D

HIO: congrats. it takes tons of money, time, forms, and patience. And they wonder why many come illegally.

My tiger has finally decided to take the step also, since she will still retain her property rights, mines, etc.

She says that she speaks the "Queen's English."

Congratulations to your better half on her new citizenship!!!!!

Your wife claims the "Queen's English"??? Whooooo!!!! When I visited Sydney on R&R from VNam, the quickest way to get into a fight was to call an Aussie a Limey or anything else referencing the British. :icon_scratch: Times must have really changed.

Congrats to your wife! The Aussie's are wonderful people. Hope that she likes it here!

Hey, wouldn't it be funny to see Jay Leno ask people on the street some of those citizenship questions ?
ROFL :tongue3: :tard:

He would first have to explain to them what citizenship means.

Congratulations to your wife. I'm glad that she did not give up along the way.

A BIG HEARTY.......... CONGRADULATIONS to your wife on her becoming one of America's Finest...A CITIZEN!!!! Now the Fourth of July will have real meaning!!!! Shoot those fireworks!!!!

I've always wanted to visit Australia, never had the opportunity too...maybe someday!

LOL on Jay Leno asking the public about citizenship...infact, I believe someone did that before or something similar...was it Letterman? It was so funny, cause no one really knew the answers...sad, isn't it? :'(

Congrats Mrs. "Pimp Lenin"!!!
YIS & YIMD,
