well this is the majority of my finds with a cheap detector. I did find 3.25 in quarters and more dimes but kids need lunch money. If you see anything interesting just ask. The buttons are a little interesting

Nice chunk of finds for sure--congratulations!

All the best,

I see a nice silver canadian quarter, what is the copper token to the right of the canadian 2 dollar? It looks like a presidential medal, post what it says if you can read it

WOW! All I ever got out of my yard was 3 zincolns a horse shoe and a bunch of nails. Impressive. :icon_thumright: and welcome to T-net.

Sweet scores! Love the silver and the Buffalos!

You have a good place to hunt!! I'll bet there is lots more there to be found. good luck

So how old is this yard, and what detector did you use? Some really cool stuff there, I love buffalo nickles. And the one that looks like a silver coin with a copper coin in it, do you know what that is?

If that doesn't hook a guy for life. What's your "cheap detector"?

Thanks, all I ever see are canadian pennies :)

Thanks for the comments. I recieved a Harbor Freight MD with 8" coil last christmas just to see if I liked it. 1/4 of the finds were made with that but I think I cleared the junk out enough for my dads Pilot which he recieved also yet didnt use it. Thanksgiving I was at his house and bet him a dollar I could find something in 5 minutes in his yard. 20 seconds into his lawn and I dug up a peacock pin and promptly collected my dollar. I asked him if I could check my yard with it and he said go ahead..........I still have it needless to say. My other ones handle broke so he said to use it until he feels like trying it......which will be this spring if I can drag him out. Anyways My house was built in 1907 and sits on 3/4 acres. not much room to detect and it is loaded with trash from pulltabs to nails to iron whatever. Back in the day they use to burn garbage right in my back yard......which by the way is cover by the new driveway....bummer. ok lets see if the attached pics work better sorry if they are very large....I will get the hang of this. The two buttons I put up there to ask if they are reproductions or not? and I am posting another thread for yesterdays hunt in my Grannies yard so look for it.
