Myrtle Beach, is it any good?

Hello, i have never used my dfx 300 on the beach, i will be going to MB and want to try it out. I have heard that MB doesnt have much treasure to offer these days. Anybody been there recently? i am very excited about hunting on the beach for the first time, i wish i had a water proof md, but i feel i still have a great one. ANYONE know anything about cameo pins? I found one no jewels on it, it might be made out of tin.

Well.. like any beach, people come things get lost, without a sand moving storm and a water machine you will be looking for newer dry sand items, so find the crowd, mentally mark the towel and traffic locations and return when they leave.

On a side note, I was up there a few months ago, is it any good...not for two wheels! The papers were full of anti - motorcycle everything... 14% unemployment, vacancy signs up on all the hotels,... and they couldn't toss the two big bike rallies out of town fast enough. They passed 15 anti this and that laws, no motorcycles allowed signs every where, real crap.
My money will not be going to MB, period.

Hey yea what was up with all of that no bike crap? What brought all of that on, somebody get jumped by a gang of bikers or something? I mean why now no bike rally?

I am down here right now. The beach is slow hunting and not as crowded as you would think. About 6 hours worth got one 10k earring
anf about two dollors in clad. It is sanded in bad may walk a half mile with no signals. Has to get better I am headed north in the morning to hunt
try to find a spot where the beach has not been renurished.

I have hunted there a few times and didn't have much luck. I did meet one fellow that comes down from NC to hunt and he had found 3 wedding bands by the time I met him. In fact, he got a signal just as I walked up to him and that was a his third band...I was a day late and dollar short on that one. He was hunting the waterline down near Spring Maid Pier. I will down there also this week. I will get there on Friday, so I will be keeping an eye out for yall. GL and HH.

Yea, you never know we may actually see one another there, i cant wait to go, im trying not to get my hopes up about finding a ring or something . That is with my luck i wont find jack. Last time i went to MB i wasnt into mding. That was in july 07, and i actually lost my wedding band, when a big wave came in and knocked me down,and my hand dug into the sand and when i pulled it out the ring came off. I looked for 2 hrs for it but could never find it, my wife gave me heck, and i hated to lose it.

Only gold for me so Far is a gold 10K hoop earring. Lots of folks yesterday going back out tonight hope to get some gold. Will be hunting in the area of the Daton house and the Carolinian if you any one has mad it down stop and say hello. Will be hunting the low tide. around 7:00pm tonight.
