Hi all,

I found this item yesterday and I’m having difficulty identifying it. Seems to be brass and on one end it opens into like a tube structure while the other end is closed and almost looks like a scraper. Some etching on it says “United WIR.” On the other side it appears to be etched with “UB8.” Any ideas?

Can you give us an idea as to the size of the item? I see nothing by which to gauge the scale. Thanks.

I’m going out on the proverbial limb on this one. UB8 may refer to Uxbridge, UK. That is the postal code for that area.
“UB8 United” is the name of their Football Club (soccer).
I have no idea what you item may be, but it may pertain to this team. Any chance it is a smashed whistle?

Maybre a crimp to splice wire?
Electrical ground wires might use something similar.
