An accurate size measurement would help the good folks here ID your find more quickly. Was it found locally to you? Any info about the area it was found in could also be helpful.That is a different projectile than I am used to seeing.My gut says it is a more modern muzzle loader bullet. Hopefully someone here will get it for you.

Looks like a Buffalo Bullet - 1980's to 2000 or so - modern muzzleloading bullet.
