Found this disc and I don't know what it is. Its bigger than a penny, smaller than a nickel and about the thickness of a penny :dontknow:

I don't see any markings on it.

Looks like the size of a Shield Nickel. Nothing to lose, so try soaking in white vinegar and a dash of peroxide and see if it starts to turn silver. If yes probably a Shield and maybe some details will come.

Those shields wear out easily I have a microscope that helps to just get enough to ID coins like that. Good luck

A microscope? Damn, I though I was CSI :notworthy:

jk A2, I use Jewelers loupes which might be on the low magnification side of some microscopes.

I guess I have another cleaning project.....

if its magnetic its a electrical box knockout ...if not likely a shield nickle
