MYSTERY FIND

Any idea if this is gold? It's gold and silver colors. Not magnetic. And found in dirt containing river rock.

Nice find! Hard to say could be silver w/ gold plate, could be two tone gold, could be costume. that said is there any markings on it?

it's about the size of a pea. the center looks like carbon almost. but feels like rock when you scratch it. but the gold/silver stuff is melted completely around it.

It reminds me of melted solder, that said I am not sure, but its a interesting find.

Thats what i thought. It's got some weight to it. Even with the rock inside it. the rock doesn't look too heavy. it's too porous to weigh much.
Beats me. i'll see if i can get an acid test.
We see lots of river rock when we dig out for pools. I wonder how much gold could be in the dirt. It's nice to dream. But it is possible. we install pools all around lake michigan.
