Found this item last week ... at first glance, it looks like a fishing reel spool, but its too beefy... around 050" thick end plates, so probably not that? its got a cartridge headstamp on it on both sides of the center piece as stated in the title. Diameter is around 60mm. There is some cotton cord still tied around the spool shaft, but theres no cross hole like some fishing reels. The center hole is small ~.07". Any ideas on what this item is??... perhaps related to Winchester product line and used the 44 S&W R. stamp?? Thanks!

Nice!! Congrats!!

Winchester Repeating Arms company maybe?

Very interesting. 44 s&w R could be 44 Russian cartridge. Kinds looks like a fly rod reel spool but not sure.

I don't know what it truly is, but looks like it was repurposed into a awesome yo-yo!

Interesting find - looking forward to a ID

Definitely looks repurposed with an old cartridge inserted. Very cool whatever it is!

A homemade yo-yo!
