Come on guys now you all know we don't need no stinkn' water. Blastn' and tearing down the electrical grid infrastructure is a fantastic idea. Then we can all go live in a cave...but be sure to get a permit first. Destruction of the civilized world will procede so they can build more casinos.........and rape the salmon/steelhead population and blame the miners...sic sic sic

Oakview please keep political bashing out of threads.

It ain't bashing if it is the truth:laughing7:

we are in a drought and next year seems will be a drought, lawsuits by special interest groups forcing the water release, (the peoples water not government) reserves on hand that would have helped our farmers were drained for fish,
now we have a water bond on the ballot (prop1)meant for infrastructure, approx 75% will go to special interest for studies how best to managed our waterway, ( not much hope or change for any activity in the current direction taken place in this state) the rest goes to the actual infrastructure.

Pan, sluice, dredge, heck even swingin has it’s merits, write your reps tell them, show them how you all remove toxin from our waterways

whats funny about this artical the parasite warm water born, and the nutbuckets wanna take down a dam or dams, what like four left?, whats that gonna do for the little salmoniods when no dam holdin back a reserve, and the river warms up due to mother of all decides not ta place a little snow on the peaks

Hmm seems like the fish NEED dredging to stay alive.
Nice deep holes where the water is cooler can keep them alive (Among the other goods we do.)

...too bad heavily managed waterways and the lack of dredging have filled in all of the deep holes keeping the fish alive.

when will the west coast start building the DE-salinization plants? sooner or latter the cost of these plants will be a mute question and the NEED will be mandatory! all of the south-west and west coast are in dire needs of water!

NT I have the studies mandating deep water cooling pools for the salmon/steelhead populations to lay over in and are mandatory for survival. But science, REAL science ,has been precluded, deluded for studies with preconceived results to appease the environutz and tribes mandates. The TRRPs own oversight committee(see above post) is in absolute agreement but truth no longer carries any meaning. sic sic sic-John

So true John.

Anyone that has ever spent any time fishing knows that fish are found in cool and deep holes.
Everyone at some point in their life has heard and knows what "Fishing Hole" means, no matter how seated you are in a concrete jungle, you still know that terminology and what it means.

No one ever says they are going off to their old fishing shallows.
Yup, I always catch monster fish in less than 5" of water!
NO!

But these simple facts are ignored, simple facts like dredging removes heavy metals, makes clean and healthy spawning beds, oxygenates the water and keeps hardpack from locking out potential spawning beds (Among other positive things.)

I keep hoping that our conversations that we have on this subject will somehow change someone's mind that stumbles in here or comes looking for real answers and not just following the herd.

Sheeple are the problem, think for yourself Sheeple, do the work, do your research and become the Shepard.

I'll just get in trouble here as usual BUT--That would be divine intervention fer sure man :notworthy:

Let the experts handle the problems. They have destroyed just about everything they handle. In about a hundred years. Blame it on everything but them selves. Look at the crazy weather where having. They will most likely blame it on the miners. I say let mother nature take care of the earth. She done pretty good since day one and a lot cheaper.
